Kari Koehler, MSN, RN
Kari Koehler is a nurse executive, leadership coach, and advisor with more than 20+ years of experience spanning bedside care through enterprise-level leadership. She has led hospitals through some of the most complex shifts in modern healthcare—where operational realities, clinician trust, and patient outcomes all have to move together.
As a former Chief Nursing Officer, Kari helped design, launch, and operationalize one of the region’s first virtual nursing programs at scale. She built it from the floor up, shoulder-to-shoulder with the nurses and leaders who made it real—translating strategy into workflows, adoption into culture, and change into measurable impact.
Recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the 2025 CNOs to Know, Kari now brings that lived experience to her coaching and advisory work through SoundMind Leadership. She partners with healthcare executives navigating AI selection and adoption, virtual care strategy, and the human side of transformation—showing up as the guide she once needed: someone who has been in the seat, understands the pressure, and knows how to move through it with clarity.
Kari also works with healthcare technology vendors, bringing a clinical nursing and executive lens that many product and innovation teams simply do not have in-house. From workflow-fit assessments and adoption barrier analysis to embedded advisory support on product evolution and go-to-market strategy, she helps teams understand what it truly takes for innovation to land—and stick—inside a health system, because she has sat at the table where those decisions were made.
Outside of work, Kari loves to travel and experience the world through fresh eyes. Her greatest joy is watching her children step into their own lives, and she recharges most when spending time with the love of her life.
